Allison developed an early interest in Construction, in the UK more than 17 years ago in the quality field. Starting her career within the residential sector, and then moving onto commercial and public buildings. With an ambition to work on even more complex projects, she took the opportunity to relocate to the Dubai in 2010, to fulfil her wish.
As a Chartered Construction professional, and elected as a Committee member for the Chartered Institute of Building, she regularly supports the local Dubai hub and provides mentoring for new members. She has recently also appeared as a judge, for CPI Media Big Project Awards, which celebrates construction excellence.
Allison established her company Qualitaz in 2014, which works with construction and manufacturing organisations, to help raise Project quality and handover standards with their project teams, in the region.
Having worked with many construction companies, she noticed a common theme, that despite having some level of quality system in place. These were often complicated, and never explained to the teams, whilst they were still generating a high levels of defects, errors and waste.
She knew that she could bring a fresh approach to the industry and breakdown traditional perceptions and barriers about quality, and has been doing so ever since, through training, mentoring and supporting teams with her “hands-on” approach.
Allison has worked on some of the most Iconic projects in the region, including the Museum of the Future, Formula 1, Cleveland Clinic, Kempinski Hotel and more recently the Expo 2020 UK Pavillion.
