Suhail Arfath is a futurist leader and pioneer in AEC Industry related technology innovations and disruptions. As a Director of Digital Transformation & Innovation at Hloov, Suhail is responsible for shaping Hloov’s products and services to empower the Engineering and Construction (E&C) Sector People to reduce waste and deliver Carbon Neutral Infrastructure on time and within budget.
In his role for strategy and execution for the company’s core products and solutions, he leverages his Civil Engineering background and several years of experience driving growth through a combination of construction domain, strategic insight, customer focus, and operational excellence. He and his team focus on research and development, turning emerging technologies into products and solutions to transform the built environment and develop business models that deliver value for Employees and Shareholders.
As a global leader, Suhail is frequently published in industry and business publications and speaks at the E&C Sector forums and events about the Future of the Built Environment, Digital Twins, Building Information Modeling – BIM, Artificial Intelligence – AI, Industry 4.0, Value Engineering, and other innovations and disruptions.
Before leading Hloov, he has spent most of the professional career at Autodesk globally evangelizing, implementing, and emerging technologies like Building Information Modeling – BIM and “Future of Making” to deliver value for the customers. He has first-hand experience living and working with dispersed teams and customers across North America, Europe, and Asia, spearheading several emerging and disruptive projects. He also helped grow the India AEC business by 4X, spearheaded the Consulting Services business in the Middle East, and won the first Multi-Million-dollar deal within the first 12 months.
Chief Technology Officer with Eigen (a Laing O’ Rourke Company) and Vice President at Aikomus are few other leadership positions he has held outside Autodesk. As Chief Technology Officer, he played an instrumental role in shaping and executing the company’s vision for Industrialized Construction and DfMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly). He also has been instrumental in helping numerous global Government and Private corporates to craft a resilient 3 to 5-year strategy and execution plans for Digital Transformation.
Suhail considers enabling the next-gen of professionals a crucial responsibility and spends a decent amount of time with academia, sharing knowledge and experience with future professionals as they explore their own “future of design, build, and use.”
